What Clitheroe Mosque can offer

We are currently raising funds towards the completion of Phase 1B of the masjid development so that it can finally be opened to the public.

The realisation of this phase will cost £250,000 and it can't be raised without your help. If you believe, as we do, that the wider community would benefit from a greater understanding of Islam and the potential benefits it has to bring to humanity as a whole, then please give generously.

• Clitheroe Masjid will be a unique religious and cultural centre in the North West of England, increasing understanding about Islam and its message of peace for all people.

• It is a vital project which aims to build bridges and advance the cause of Islam and humanity in general.

• It is about a vision based on the firm belief that faith can bring hope in our lives, and an ethos that recognises the energy and strength that can be harnessed through collaboration across diverse communities.

• Clitheroe Masjid will be established as a collaborative, non-denominational facility committed to preserving the traditional values of Islam, in accordance with the Holy Qur'an and the authentic Hadith and Sunnah of our Beloved Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alayhi Wasalam).

• Our aim is to recapture the essence of what a true Masjid should be - as well as being a hub for community life in the area, it will be a spiritual haven for all people, consecrated to the worship of the one God, and dedicated to teaching Muslims to live out their faith in accordance with His wishes, and those of His trusted servant and Messenger.

• We will also be dedicated to providing dawah and information to the wider community about the Islamic faith. Our doors will be open to all members of the community, with a refreshment area where people can come together and access information and literature about islam in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.
